Nostalgia!!

Well, being a state wide bandh today, I was wondering what best I can do to pass (rather kill) time....Thought I'll scribble something in my blog and spend time....

A couple of months back, I had a chance to visit a 'Consumer Fair Event' held in Bengaluru. During my childhood, this kind of consumer fair events (the so-called 'Exhibitions' of those days) were the only exciting time pass activity on a holiday because I was brought up in a town which didn't have any posh shopping malls or vast beaches or multiplex theaters or surrounded by exotic tourist spots to chill-out.

The main attractions of this exhibition used to be 'Taking a scary round in Giant wheel', 'Eating Mirchi Bajji', 'Hot Masala or Pani Puri', 'Cotton-candy' and 'Throw a ring and win some Plastic Items or toys' and some 'Play area for Kids'.

As I grew up, I realized that these events were exhibiting the same set of stalls and same kinds of merry-go-round and selling same varieties of eatables and hence slowly I lost interest to visit them.Suddenly I saw this kind of event in Bengaluru and driven by the curiosity, I decided to visit the event. (Yes, I paid the usual minimal entrance fee @ Rs.10/-).  And, to my surprise, nothing has been changed till now!!. It still exhibits the same old stuffs generations after generations :)

Some of the pics for a glance. But, not to forget, it surely has brought back some of my old memories of childhood days :)

!!!! Work is Worship !!!!

Well, Don't even imagine that I am going to say "Coding (Rather bug fixing) is Worship!! ;) " It's not about my own work. It's about people who really worships their job or work.

Whenever I feel that "My job is not keeping me interested" or "I need a change in my work" or "I do not have enough challenges in my work" or "Why should I even work in this world?!!", then I convince myself that we are atleast in a state where we have the luxury to say all these. We should realize there are so many people in the world who really can't dare to say such things loud.

I took 'candid photographs' of some people busy in their work whom we meet or see in our day-to-day life. Their life is all about doing the same things round-the-clock. But still they do.They don't have the luxury of taking a day off and rest in home happily or Go out for a heavy lunch with the team or Go for a full-day team outing or Celebrate fun activities at work or Conduct cultural events and showcase the talents etc.,

Their work is directly related to their next day meal!! If they dare to miss a day's work, then it implies they dare to miss a day's meal !!!

So, all that they know is, they have to Work and they have to worship it. All of them starts their day in work by worshipping it and not by simply staring at MS Outlook :P :D

Some of the worshippers are here...

An exhilarating weekend luncheon !!!

It was a usual lazy Sunday... I had an un-interrupted sleep till 9am in the morning...
Got up and realized that our cook is on leave today... Hence no breakfast in the morning.
But I was NOT interested in reaching out to any nearby Sagar hotels or Andhra style mess or any other South Indian hotel for grabbing some Idlis or Pongal. So bought some fruits and eggs to wrap-up the morning breakfast and was peeking through the TV channels....

Suddenly my roomie asked me "How about some continental food for Lunch today?"
"That sounds inviting to me too!!", I said in an excitement.
Ok, Let's start by 1pm or so to hit some good restaurant in IndiraNagar 100ft Road,we concluded.

We found a new restaurant, California Pizza Kitchen, (usually termed as CPK) http://www.cpk.com/ right there. It is a nice Glass building so we could see from outside that it was pretty crowded being a Sunday today.

We entered inside and we were asked for the seat preference by the kind (yeah, I have to say:P) receptionist girl.
"At the moment there are NO seats, Sir. Will you mind waiting for sometime?", she asked.
"Yup,we'll wait. Not a problem", I said.
"If you prefer bar seating (the typical single seaters), then you can occupy right away Sir!" she added.
"No rather we would wait sometime", we replied.
"Your name please, Sir" and before she completed her statement, my roomie said his name and she noted down and we moved outside to wait.

After some 10 minutes, she called out his name and we were taken to first floor of the restaurant and she showed table for us.
"Are you comfortable with this table, Sir" she asked. (Remember I said she was kind :P)
"Yes", we acknowledged.
We comfortably sat down and we were served with the menus, the fork sets and the water immediately.

We concentrated on the menu for sometime and called the waiter to order the below:

"One Mediterranean Salad served with black Olives and Cheese" for Salad.
" Baja style Tacos with grilled chicken and roasted Tomato Salsa " for Apetizer.
"Southwestern Burrito Pizza served with roasted tomato salsa and cream", for main course.
"One Raspberry and One Peach flavored Italian Soda" for Beverage.

"Thank you Sir! Please wait 20mins for Pizza and the rest will  be delivered right away", he replied and left.
Though we waited for an hour to get the Pizza due to heavy crowd but we really enjoyed the exhilarating and delicious food for the day which bursted out Rs.1800/- bucks as the bill amount for two of us :D

Some random scenes on some random days...

It has always been my wish that when I see something that's of interest to me or attracts me, then immediately I should be able to capture those moments or the scenes. Yes my eyes captures them well and my mind keeps them fresh for sometime but it is not persistent. It is not always possible to capture the moments with a camera due to various practical reasons.  Either I wont be carrying a camera or those moments will be transient or I wont have time to stop and click or I may not be allowed to click or people with me wont be interested to spend time for that and it goes on. So I'll just regret for sometime and move on.

Whenever I go alone somewhere or just walk around then I definitely take a pause and try to click! Infact try to look at things deeply to get something out of it :)

Here are some very very random pics that I took with my mobile camera while I was on the move.

Parrots in a highway Motel on the way to Vellore. I missed the moment when all three of them looked in the same direction.. :( (Clicked when waiting for the bus to start)

A snail on a  two-wheeler handle-bar in  Vellore.

These 2 were sooo lazy to get up and run around on a nice evening... Near Ramnagaram, Bangalore.  (Clicked when walking around)

In a Pav Bhaji Shop, Bangalore (Clicked when waiting eagerly to get something to eat :) )
This is used to decorate elephants. In a Kerala style restaurant  Bangalore.

These are books stacked up in a Book Fair held at Chennai. How patience they should have been to pile up like this !! A nice symmetric pattern.

Guess what??!! Nothing real :) This was on a notebook of my colleague. It looked so real and colorful bug!!

Clicked when waiting for a train @ Bangarpet Junction. These 3 elderly persons were having a nice evening chat among them.

Somehow this tree attracted me so much. Lonely Soul !! Taken during trekking in Rangadhama

Liked this oval shape !! Taken in Phoenix Mall, Bangalore.

This is a creeping plant.. Someone tied it to the lamp pole. Taken in Vellore.

Samosa-wala in Hyderabad right before Charminar. (Clicked when waiting to get the entry pass)

Once Upon a Time.....

I used to draw/paint a lot in my school days. Though I was NOT interested in drawing the diagrams for physics/botany/zoology, I used to draw the cartoon characters and some natural sceneries that comes to my mind and liked doing it a lot. Just a loving pastime activity those days!!.

I never used to bother about the paper quality also...just take a piece of paper (even on the papers in which something written/printed on the other side also)
and draw in it and give colours to it. But the good habit that I had was I never throw out those drawings and preserved it very well. But somehow I lost track of all my school-days drawings.

Suddenly I thought about this and started searching for those old treasures and LUCKILY I found atleast some of them.

Those Volatile drawings on papers are brought to 'Non-Volatile' memory now :)

My Galaxy Ace Magic !!

I woke up early on a Sunday morning, around 6:30am, and the cost of loosing sleep on Sunday morning is really huge. To utilize the early morning time, I thought I'll spend sometime in photography.

Decided to hit the nearby park to spend sometime there in the chilly morning.I took my mobile and started clicking almost on every flora falls into my sight right from my home.

Some of the pics...
